Dragoș Iliescu is a university professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Bucharest, where he also leads the doctoral school. Additionally, he holds the position of Extraordinary Professor at the University of Stellenbosch.

Alongside his academic career, he has been actively involved in consultancy for the past 25 years, participating in or leading numerous significant projects related to psychological and educational testing and assessment in commercial or governmental contexts across Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.

His research interests revolve around two main areas: applied psychology in occupational contexts and issues of human capital, and psychological and educational testing and assessment with a strong intercultural component.
Dragoș Iliescu has served in various official roles for several national and international professional associations. He is a former president of the International Test Commission (ITC) and the current president of Division 2 (Psychological Assessment and Evaluation) of the International Association of Applied Psychology.

He is also the editor-in-chief of the European Journal of Psychological Assessment and the author of over 200 scientific articles, book chapters, and books. Among his notable achievements, he co-edited the internationally acclaimed volume "International Handbook of Testing and Assessment," published in 2016 by Oxford University Press. Furthermore, he authored the monograph "Adapting Tests in Linguistic and Cultural Situations," published in 2018 by Cambridge University Press. Dragos Iliescu is also an active entrepreneur for 25 years, being the founder of Testcentral, a Romanian publisher of psychological tests, and BRIO, the Romanian standardized educational assessment system.

The Path to Psychological Wellbeing - Navigating Through Stressors and Contextual Resources

The presentation centers on aspects related to workplace stress and mental health, examining how contextual factors contribute to both negative outcomes (such as burnout, workaholism, subclinical symptomatology, or even mental health conditions/pathologies) and positive outcomes (including work engagement, job satisfaction, and superior performance).

The exploration encompasses both the hedonic and eudaimonic models of psychological well-being, with a specific focus on the dominant model in this field—the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) model. This model clarifies the antecedents and causal mechanisms of stress-related phenomena and well-being. Understanding this model enhances the ability of managers to rationally act on the control they have over job demands and resources.

Additionally, there is a delve into primary, secondary, and tertiary interventions that can be implemented within the framework of this model.
